Colorado Artist Penny Bunn Becker works in a wide variety of drawing and painting materials and techniques. Born and raised in Clarion, Iowa, Penny’s formal art training includes B.A. and M.A. degrees from the University of Northern Colorado, post graduate work in drawing and painting from numerous universities including Cambridge University, Cambridge, England and individual workshops with nationally recognized artists.

The artwork Penny creates often reflects the beauty of nature and her love of the outdoors. She works directly from nature or uses her sketchbook drawings and personal photographs to complete works in her studio. Penny especially enjoys working with transparent watercolor. She is a Signature Member of the Rocky Mountain National Watermedia Society, the Western Federation of Watercolor Societies, and the Colorado Watercolor Society.

Penny’s award winning artwork is regularly included in International, National, and Regional juried shows and in numerous private, public and corporate collections.
